Solo in the Cedros Design District

An old quonset hut converted into a unique retail gallery.

I specially adore the reclaimed and repurposed "vintage industrial" pieces created by artist and designer Jennifer Price .  Her knack for combining uncommon objects results in a fresh mix of old and new, industrial and organic, sophisticated and funky.

Another favorite is the "California Casual" collection by furniture designer Lori Graham . From custom,  bench made upholstered sofas to handed crafted fine wood tables, she successfully makes the statement that style can be comfortable.  I'm inspired with new ideas every time I visit this ever changing space.

This place is a must see!  Super fun kid stuff, Japanese furniture, and my favorite coffee table books of all time from Natural Curiosities.

  1. How funny! I almost worked here where I was in California! Couldn't give me any benefits so I had to give up the dream :(. But, I love love love love that store.

  2. Too funny Rachel. I was thinking of you when I typed the post!! You are so cool I simply cannot believe they didn't fall all over themselves to hire you WITH benefits. Another small world sort of thing...Robin installed the fire protection sprinkler system in it in 1989. He used to do that for a job.
